Our preschool program curriculum is designed to grow along with your child, teaching essential skills in a logical, natural sequence that encourages children to learn, step by step. We combine mental stimulation, physical activity and social interaction in a visually exciting, and unique environment.

Our strong, literacy-based approach teaches writing, phonics and reading readiness, by incorporating letters of the week, songs, rhymes and stories. Weekly activities also include math, science and art projects. Several of our lead teachers are bi-lingual and incorporate Spanish into our classes. Basic computer skills as well as science discovery will open your child's mind to new ideas and experiences.

Our daily schedule includes time for independent free play, giving each child time to develop on his/her own, discovering his/her interests, skills, and strengths. As well as small and large group activities, in which the children participate in stories, songs, and other activities fostering listening skills, creativity and social development. The maximum class size is 10 children (2 yr old classes have 12 children) and all classes have a Lead teacher and a floating assistant.

We believe that children need to be encouraged, loved, and supported in their daily activities. Our two-year old program focuses on achieving these ideals through a world of learning, sharing, and exploring. Children are introduced to age-appropriate centers that help build their emotional, physical, social, cognitive, and language development. One of our goals is to enhance their self-confidence through every day interactions. Our structured learning curriculum introduces primary colors, basic shapes, uppercase letters, and numbers up to 10. Our teachers start the process of encouraging the children to develop their self-help skills. This is done through potty training, feeding themselves, and communicating their needs to others. We promote the use of imagination and creative learning through our weekly themes in art, dramatic play, and investigative science.

*Three-year-old Program*
Click here for the Days, Times, and Tuition information.

In the 3 year-old program, we at Daytime Playtime strive to continue building on each child's self-confidence and create a sense of self-worth. Allowing choices in the classroom along with fun hands-on learning experiences helps children improve their social interactions. Our goal for our students is to be able to successfully participate in the classroom routine and to separate well from their parent. Every day the child will be exposed to a daily routine, which will incorporate subjects in language arts, math, art, and science. Each week there will be a theme that guides the curriculum and corresponds with their creative art and science experiments. There is a stronger emphasis on fine motor skills that helps the students learn how to correctly use writing, cutting and gluing instruments along with their prewriting skills.

*Spanish Immersion Program*
Tuition: $145.00 a month
AM session: 9:00 am-12:00 pm
PM session: 12:30 pm-3:30 pm

This class is designed for children between the ages of 3 to 5 years old to learn the beginning stages of Spanish. The class meets once a week and is intended to be a slow-paced class to ensure the children retain the information taught and to ensure they make the connection between English and Spanish. They will learn days of the week, months of the year, colors, numbers, and the start of using a simple dialect (Hola, Adios, Me llamo es, Como Esta, etc). The teacher will introduce the Spanish heritage and culture through pictures, discussions, songs, books, and artifacts. The art work will reflect the vibrant colors and lifestyle that can be seen in South America. At the end of the year, the students would been exposed to the history/heritage, language, lifestyle, climate, and geographic regions. This is the perfect age to introduce your child to a foreign language, for language skills comes naturally and easy at a young age. A child's capacity to pronounce unfamiliar words, foreign sounds and to absorb new grammar is highly enhanced prior to the age of six. Both English and Spanish share roots in Latin. Being exposed to the Spanish increases their understanding of the English language and helps with learning English vocabulary. It will also give your child a head start for when they will be taught a second language whether it be in public or private school.
